Change Your God!

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

America is a nation that likes change.  Our very nature as Americans is rooted in continual change.  Change can be good.  No one wants to live in the 19th century or even 20 years ago.

But…..We have now embarked on a change that will prove to be very painful.  Americans seem to want to change their God.  We now have taken God’s Word and made it to fit our ideas of the Almighty Creator.

On the subject of Jesus being the only way to Heaven…..in a recent New York Times article, the writer said ‘Americans aren’t buying it!’.  Since when did God change His word or Himself because Americans don’t like what they read in scripture????

It has been suggested that we are now acting like Hindues.  We pick our God and believe what we choose.  The Bible indicates that the ‘heavens are startled’ by this very notion.

Will this nation wake up?  At this moment, it seems that we refuse to honor God or His Word.  What is life going to be like when 300 million people have 300 million gods???

No nation on earth has ever gone down this road.  Where it leads us, only God our Father knows for sure.  Pray for REVIVAL in the land…..it is indeed our only source of hope for a future.

‘Making It Up As You Go!’

Monday, January 12th, 2009

According to the Barna Research Group, increasingly Americans are making up their own faith as they go.  Barna releases a report (1/12/09) stating that

Americans are picking and choosing their faith from many religions.  Christianity is no longer the ‘default faith’ of the land.  While the nation is caught in one crisis after another, many people are trying to find the answers in a collection of beliefs that often contradict one another.  Go to barna.org for the full report.

Christian families MUST respond by preparing their children and grandchildren for the ’flood’ of false teachings that is sweeping the land.

When a  nation, family or individual rejects the clear teaching of Scripture, the end result is confusion and darkness.
